Privacy Policy

Updated 20 September 2026. This notice covers the standalone NOISE Transfer pilot.

Who operates Transfer

Noise OS Ltd operates NOISE Transfer. For support, abuse reports and privacy requests, email hello@noisemusic.io. Include the transfer link and a description of the problem; please do not send copies of suspect files.

Information we use

Senders provide an email address, username and password to create a free account. We store a password hash, account verification and session information. We process the files you upload, their names and technical details, transfer titles and messages, artwork, ordering and any recipient addresses you choose to enter. Recipient addresses come from the sender.

Recipients can listen and download without an account. Opening a link still involves processing the request, including network information such as an IP address. We keep transfer activity and operational records to provide history, enforce allowances, investigate failures and prevent abuse. We use essential session and preference cookies. Sending or receiving does not subscribe you to marketing.

We use account and transfer information to provide the sharing service you request. We rely on performance of that service for sender accounts and transfers, and our legitimate interests in delivering recipient access, protecting the service and resolving support or abuse reports for operational processing. Providing a verified email is required to send; recipient accounts and recipient email entry are optional.

Who receives information

People who receive your share link can access its files and visible transfer information, subject to any password and expiry. They may forward the link or retain downloaded copies. Revoking a transfer stops future access through Transfer; it cannot recall copies already downloaded.

Amazon Web Services hosts the application, database and uploaded files in London. Resend delivers transactional messages such as verification, password recovery and optional transfer emails. These emails may contain transfer links and messages; we do not attach your uploaded music to them. Authorised operators may access information when necessary for support, security or administration.

Resend describes its primary processing as taking place in the United States. Its data-processing agreement incorporates standard contractual clauses and the UK addendum for relevant international transfers. AWS and other provider subprocessors may also process service information outside the UK. Their published arrangements explain these safeguards: AWS data privacy and Resend data processing agreement. Contact us for information about the arrangements relevant to your request.

Availability and retention

Ready transfers are available for seven days unless the sender revokes or deletes them earlier. Expiry or revocation blocks further recipient access. File cleanup follows automatically and retries failures. Keep your own originals; Transfer is not permanent storage.

Deleting uploaded files does not immediately delete all account, transfer-history, security or support records. We retain those while needed to operate the account, maintain transfer history and allowances, handle requests or investigate a specific incident. These records are not automatically erased at the seven-day file expiry. You can request account closure or deletion through the support address; this pilot does not offer automated account erasure.

Recovery backups are separate from live storage. Our daily backup policy keeps the latest seven daily recovery points. Deleted files may remain in an older recovery point until it expires. Exceptional recovery-test copies are retained only while needed to verify recovery and establish the scheduled backups. They are not available through recipient links.

Your choices and rights

You can edit your transfer before sharing and use the available revoke and delete controls afterwards. Depending on the circumstances, you can request access, correction, deletion, restriction or portability of your personal information through hello@noisemusic.io. We may need to verify your identity before acting.

You can object to processing based on our legitimate interests, including operational processing, by contacting us. We will consider the request and explain any reason we need to continue particular processing. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office.

Separate from NoiseOS

Transfer has its own accounts, database and files. The Explore NoiseOS link is an ordinary website link. It does not connect accounts or import files. Any future connection will have its own explanation and permissions.
